I’ve had social for a few years now and all of a sudden there are more ads that slow down my computer while on facebook. They show up at the top of my news feed, in the middle of my friends posts, and on the bottom of the page. Is there any way I can get rid of these?

that was the same happened to me i guess social did that to everybody and no you cannot get rid of them

My friend put us as married on his facebook. but i dont want it to be all over the news feed on social because i have family memebers on there. I dont care if it shows on my page, but i dont want it to show all over fb in the news feed.

After setting it, go to your profile, find where the relationship status shows, move your mouse over it and then click on the Remove button that shows up!

How to remove tagged pictures of me from social news feed?

Okay some people are tagging me in pictures and it shows up in my friends news feed even if they’re not friends with that person. I dont want everyone to see these pictures so is there something I can do about this? Theres no point in just removing it from my profile because if im not online facebook, it will still show up on the news feed.

If you delete the tags on the photos they will not show up in your friends’ news feeds. Or possibly there is a way to change security settings, check it out. Sometimes deleting the notification of the tags off of your profile wall does the trick as well.

Hiding someone from your News Feed
You can remove friends from the News Feed simply by clicking the “Hide” that appears when you hover over their story in your stream.

Adding someone you’ve hidden back to your News Feed
To add someone back to your News Feed, follow these steps:

1. From the Top News stream, scroll down to the bottom of your News Feed and click “Edit Options.”
2. If you are looking for a friend, scan the list to find that person. If you are looking for a public profile, select the Public Profiles tab.
3. Click “Add to News Feed” to see their posts again.
4. Click “Close” to save your changes.
